How does the land speak to you?

Prompted by a recent editorial by Verlyn Klinkenborg in the New York Times, I began to think how words can get in the way at times. Moments of insight that can not be put into text are illusive and mysterious because we humans need to hold things in defined terms. In the same way, photographs can illuminate our world in unexpected ways. Here are some books at the library which may speak to you beyond language:

River of No Return~ Laura McPhee

Odysseys and Photographs: Four National Geographic Men

Ansel Adams: 400 Photographs edited by Andrea Stillman

Approaching Nowhere by Jeff Brouws

The Great Life Photographers
